The concept for WISC was born when multiple female graduates from the Sail & Surf ASA School expressed the need for a women-based sailing environment. Why just women? Because women deserve safe spaces and opportunities to build confidence and community with other women. This is a coalition because it has been formed to help women work together to achieve independent sailing skills.

On the first friday of every month we will hold a Confidence Building Clinic reserved especially for WISC.

The name for WISC, or the Womens Independent Sailing Coalition, was contributed by Sail & Surf Adventures’ wife, Ally who loves a good acronym and is passionate about creating community. Please note for now, Clay will be aboard for the Clinics; however, we would love to see this be a women-run group. If you think that you might be interested in taking on a leadership role in WISC, please reach out and we can discuss any additional training you may need as well as compensation.

How can you join WISC?
